Yes…..it is possible. Your Will might be revoked automatically by what you do ( e.i. a change in marital status ) depending on the jurisdiction in which you live.! And that is why the legal profession strongly urges people to REVIEW their Wills every two years.
This blog always urges individuals to work with a good legal professional of their choice because they can make you aware of all the regulations that you should be aware of.
But, Remember…..an emergency hand-written Will should be written , and it’s location revealed to the family, while you wait to get to your legal professional. It is called a Holographic Will, and it’s location too, can be registered with the worlds wills locations registry.

Finally addressing the necessity of drafting your WILL today…..will make a tremendous difference in the tomorrow’s of your spouse and children.

When you’re young, you don’t live with the idea of a finite amount. “ “ Now you realize you could be dead if something goes slightly the wrong way.” “ That’s pretty startling. !”

This young 38 yr old accountant with a wife and two children, a beautiful new home, two cars, a lake cottage and all the electronics to play with went for his annual physical to his doctor. Never having been really sick during most of his years, he went to a newer doctor in town as his former doctor retired.
Much to his horror, he was told after an MRI, he had a brain aneurysm, and further the on-set of type 2 diabetes.! ( Two Silent Creeping killers ) if not detected and treated. There is usually no warning pain signals.
When everything seemed to be going beautifully for the family, this came right out of the blue, and one can imagine the mental emotions going home to tell his wife.
He was told some people can live with an aneurysm, and some might have two .They can be treated and followed up with MRI’s ever so often. The risk of course….is when they burst, then, most everyone knows the answer to that.
There is no radiation involved with an MRI says Dr. Paul Donohue. ” Magnetic resonance imaging doesn’t involve radiation. “YES….there is a chance for treatment if discovered in time,” says Dr. Donohue.
The good message here is get your annual physical asking for a thorough top to bottom.
Diabetes and brain aneurysms are are silent creepers giving little warning of trouble.
This again raises the question, “ Do you have a Will prepared, and does your family know where it is at ? “

Now, if parents would adopt and adhere to this request, they would sit down today to address their part in guiding and protecting their children and their futures by taking care of the details to draft up their Will information to present to the legal professional of their choice to have a final Will drafted. Being conscious of their children’s education is honorable but expected. But providing their education to young adults, is not the only compulsory task parents have, because if there is no road map to follow when either parent is prematurally missing, havoc can be created for their futures.
We urge you to avoid leaving them hanging. Write out exactly what you would want them all to do if and when that day comes. It is not only the right thing to do , but the honorable thing to do. But, above all…the smartest thing to do.
It will give them a better launching pad, rather than a pool of discontent and unhappiness.

I hereby revoke all former Wills and Testamentary Dispositions by me at anytime made.
I appoint John Wilson, Mechanic, and Chris Nelson, Doctor, of the city of Salt lake City, to be my Executore(s) and Trustees of this my Will.
I direct that my said Executor(s) shall pay my just debts, funeral and testamentary disposition as soon as conveniently may be after my death.
I give, devise and bequeath unto my wife Marlene, my house at 3434-echo Ave West, Salt Lake City, with it’s entire furnishing for use during her life, to be disposed of at her death by my executors, dividing the same equally between my two sons Brad and Carson and two daughters Cherylyn and Charlene.
To my eldest son Brad, I bequeath my 2008 Ford Mustang and half of my clothing and jewelry plus $5000.00.
To my next son Carson I bequeath my speed boat and 80 HP motor with trailer, and half of my clothing and jewelry, and $5000.00. ,
To my eldest daughter Cherylyn, I bequeath half of the value of the lake cottage and furnishings and the other half to my other daughter Charlene. Also $3000.00 each to each.
All the residue of my estate, real and personal, I give devise and bequeath unto my wife Marlene.
In witness, I have here unto set my hand this twentieth day of June, 2009.

One of the Principles in life we believe in, is to take the necessary steps to love and protect our loved ones at all times, and to prepare ( and leave ) the important instructions by way of a WILL if anything happens to us:
In our lifetime, we will make millions of Choices and Decisions :
And also, we will make millions of changes in many of these choices and decisions of our lives.
BUT…BUT… Every individual with assets….with a Spouse….and with any Children, SHOULD HAVE A WILL.!, and if as yet there is no family Will, then THAT IS ONE IMPORTANT CHANGE THAT SHOULD ( SHOULD ) BE MADE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. In a lot of cases it has been discovered that there must be a Change in Attitude toward the planning of a Will. Many must get over the attitude of Will Planning as planning to end their lives. It is not that at all, and many spouses should demand a smarter way of planning for the future of the whole family.
Remember….the Choice is yours ….to make the Changes… to finally get that family Will completed. It’s the principal of the thing.
