About ten years ago I decided to draft up my will. Although I don’t have too much to bequeath to my loved ones, I know that taking the time to make these preparations will make it easier for them. At the time that I originally drafted my will, I was fairly certain that it was the only time that I would be forced to go through the process.
Unfortunately, family circumstances have forced me to rethink how I have divvied out my worldly possessions. Last year my youngest son committed adultery with his brother’s wife, and I felt that I no choice but to disinherit him from my will. Don’t get me wrong, I still love all of my children, but I don’t feel right about leaving my eldest with some of my few possessions in lieu of his conduct.
