For the proper protection of families, it is best to have two Wills. A Living Will, which provides instructions to the family for any problems before death, and a Family Will, which provides instructions following death. The location of both should be registered in a Will Registry database.!
While on one’s journey thru life, it is possible that a family could have up to ten Wills drafted or even more ! One when you are single, one when you get married, another after the first child, another after the second child, and others after other children are born. Also, if there is a family divorce then another new Will must be drawn up. Then, if re-married, another new Will must be drawn up. If that marriage brought in other siblings, another Will should be drawn so that all the Family empire is protected fairly.
Some legal professionals may suggest only Codicil’s be added to the original Will to provide that family protection. Other legal professionals may suggest new Wills.
It has been confirmed that the best kept family SECRET to date, is the number of Family Wills drawn that DO NOT have the location of where those Family Wills are going to be kept. The late billionaire Howard Huges of a few years ago, the lawyers for the company spent almost 5 years and over $600,00o.00 searching for a Will that was never found.
People are today only discovering that there are computer data bases where families can actually register the location of where those Wills are going to be kept so the Will can be found on a search registry. This Location and Search Registry can reveal where that family Will is going to be kept. Whether at a lawyers office, trust co. bank or in a safe deposit box, or at home in a metal box in a cabinet.
People have to become more attuned to the fact that WILLS are a subject that should be on everyone’s agenda all the time, because it is the object that is worth its weight in gold.
