Listed on the website pages of the World Registry of Wills is a listing of more than 150 Will Registries in many provinces, states, and countries of the free world!
This does not include the many legal offices, bank safe deposit boxes, trust company vaults, credit union vaults where some leave their Wills, and then, the little metal boxes hidden away within many homes.
HOWEVER, only 4 or 5 have websites promoting their WILLS LOCATIONS SERVICE lead by the International and Most Prominent Wills Location Registry and On-line Search Database in the World! ” A confidential database linking government and private Will Registries in an ever-changing world”. ” The World Registry of Wills ! ”. The others seem to be simply listings.
The World Registry of Wills is a Wills Locations Registry service that aggressively urges people worldwide to have their Wills drafted, and urges them to register its location with its ” Wills Locations Registry.”
After all, who wants to waste time searching 150 world registries for a Will ?
In the absence of a Will, the law in your jurisdiction and the Probate Court decides how your assets will be handled. Not your partner nor family! Most countries, states and provinces have a fixed formula for allocating your assets. Probably not the way you intended.
Many legal experts will confirm that too many Wills cannot be properly executed because they cannot be found.
Expensive and often futile searches are made by executors and their solicitors for the Will and safe deposit box locations after the death of the testator.
People today travel more frequently, change occupations, and move to other regions of a country or perhaps to a new country.
Sons, and daughters and partners often don’t know where the testator does their banking, “IF” they have a Will, where is it kept, along with other important documents, thereby adding further grief and anxiety to a family following a death.
Your “Honey Do List” should have two top of the chart functions to carry out.
1…Get on top of that effort to have a Family Will drafted:
2…Get that Wills Location registered with a worlds wills locations registry for your peace of mind.

That is a query made by many wives and family members far too often.
The law says, “ It is the sole responsibility of the testator ( will writer) to insure their most recent Will can be found!”
More than 30 years ago this blog writer chaired a family money management series with other advisors at the Pastoral Institute in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
At those 6 weekly sessions for husbands, wives and family members over 16, we seperated and mixed all the members into different groups of families. The registrants included doctors, lawyers, carpenters, managers of various businesses, a varied cross section of the community.
Coming out of those sessions often revealed that many wives at that time didn’t know where their family banking was done, if they had a family lawyer and where, who their insurance agent was, etc. There were far too many negatives to mention in this blog, but the fact that most wives had no clue about most of those details because they said they thought their husbands had all the answers.
With 30 couples (some with teenagers) we tried to urge more wives to assert themselves more and demand to be in on the decision making of many of those important details!
Fortunately, and thankfully in today’s world, that has changed drastically for mothers, wives and families. To the extent, that many (if not most) now share the decision podium concerning family financial planning with their spouses.
In fact, it now seems that when planning for the family Will, “if mothers of the world don’t do it…. it may not get done.!”
80% of the world’s population are still without Wills, and the 20% that do, the legal profession agrees more than half cannot be properly executed because they cannot be found thusly incurring excessive legal search costs. Sometimes never to be found. Certainly, a LOST WILL is of no value.
To help individuals and families avoid or minimize prolonged grief , anxiety and suffering, there is an ONLINE “international and most prominent worlds wills locations registry” to seek out, where they can register the location of all of their important and valueable personal papers. Especially their WILLS so they can be readily found when needed.

With the lifestyle you presently have for them to date ?

The main part these blogs play is URGING everyone with a will (when drafted), is to register on-line the location of where their WILLS can be found when needed with a WORLDS WILLS LOCATIONS REGISTRY.
Many legal professionals agree, that registering that location with an on-line computer registry, could be even more important than the WILL itself because if a WILL cannot be readily found when needed,…..it becomes a useless document.!
Many people spend hundreds of dollars and hours of painstaking deliberation in drafting their will and other legal documents, but this is only part of the equation. Once these legal forms have been created, it is important that lawyers and your loved ones have easy access to them. To ensure this, it is important to register your will location, as well as the rest of your important legal documents.
There are several locations where you can register your legal documents, but the internet is the most convenient and reliable. This allows people around the globe to see this critical information if and when they need to. Compared to the drafting of the documents, registry and documenting their location is quick and inexpensive; there is no excuse not to do it.
Change……..is a definition of grace under pressure!.
The most powerful tool each of us have for change , is our ability to change ourselves !
Many people may not even realize that they change with the times. or the enviorement around them. Changes in their immediate family thru illness, death, marriage, births, work place etc.
Amazingly enough, an important change in attitude regarding Wills and Estate Planning has been coming from new daughter-inlaws and son- inlaws that come into families who heretofore had not spent little time contemplating the value and importance of leaving written instructions for the future and welfare of their own children.
REMEMBER…..THIS IS YOUR LEGAL WRITTEN DIRECTIVES…..of what you want to have happen for your spouse/partner, children and other family members when you are not here to guide them.
The questions one must answer is, what will happen to your house, cars, boats, property mortgages, investments and insurance policies , your underage children, and the future of all your children?
AND AS IMPORTANT………is to REGISTER THE LOCATION OF WHERE YOUR WILLS AND IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS ARE GOING TO BE KEPT.
REMEMBER….it is your responsibility to record WHERE your WILLS are going to be kept so they can be easily located when needed.
